We're Hanfield, a group of investors who would really prefer it if our planet didn't die.

That's why we we're working towards a world where a juicy hamburger doesn't require 660 gallons of water to make, the grass is always greener, and a baby pig's only job is to sit around looking adorable.

Angel Investor. Animal Hoarder. Hydroponic Veggie Farmer.

Michael founded Michels & Hanley CPAs, LLP in 2003 and currently serves as the firm's Managing Partner. He focuses on exceeding the expectations of small business owners and high net worth individuals.

In 2006, he made his first Angel Investment and has made over 120 venture capital and angel investments since then.

Michael acts as a mentor for startup founders through various incubators and accelerators.

To give back to his community, he founded Networking for a Cause in 2006 to collect toys, handmade holiday cards, food, clothing, and pet supplies for various charities across Long Island including Angela's House, Yorkie911 Rescue, Silver Hearts Sanctuary, Smithtown Animal Shelter, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Salvation Army, and St. Vincent De Paul Society.

Ava has multiple founder credits under her belt including Snapdragon Health, Forfeit, One Woman One World, and the Laurel Law Review.

She has been a business development lead and growth consultant for early age startups and large corporations alike and serves as a vice president of Stanford’s Women in Business.
‍
Outside of the financial and entrepreneurship spaces, Ava is a former six-time Junior Olympian in Indoor Volleyball. She is also proficient in Chinese, Python, C++, HTML/CSS, and is a two-time published author.
